This week we explore the run-up to Bacon's Rebellion. With colonists already pushed to the breaking point as a result of excessive taxation, conflict erupts along the frontier between settlers and the local tribes. The government’s response leaves the colonists looking elsewhere for protection, protection they would find in Nathaniel Bacon.
